Travel to school
Planning your school travel is easy. There are a range of safe transport options to get to our school.
Three bus operators service the school – the contract to travel is between the operators and parents. Bus drivers have a Common Code Of Conduct for students and drivers have the right to terminate travel if behaviour is not appropriate.

School Student Transport Scheme (SSTS) application forms are available at www.transport.nsw.gov.au/ssts
This application needs to be completed before allowing your child to travel on the bus. If your child is riding on a bus that they don’t normally go on (to Grandparent or for a birthday party), it is important to give the bus driver a courtesy call beforehand. This means that the bus driver knows what is going on, where to drop off and they have your phone number if something doesn’t go to plan.
A Private Conveyance Allowance can be claimed by parents who travel more than 1.6km to meet the bus. Forms are available online by logging onto: www.transport.nsw.gov.au/ssts
Manildra Public School are very fortunate to have our own bus. This is used to transport students to and from sporting events and carnivals, excursions and other activities.
