'Picasso Cows' has been inspiring creativity and a love of learning about the Australian dairy industry since 2009 and has reached over 1,000 schools! This exciting FREE* program provides selected primary schools from all over Australia with an engaging and challenging way to learn about the Australian dairy industry, its products, health and nutrition benefits, farming practices and manufacturing processes.
This cross-curricular program is highly interactive, catering for a diverse range of learning styles. It encourages the development of ideas and creativity through cooperation and teamwork.
Manildra Public School were thrilled to welcome our Picasso Cow during assembly last week.
The school community voted to call her Miss Moo-nildra and follow the learning pathway of 'Health and Nutrition'.
During Week 4, the students began the very exciting task of painting her. The artistic abilities, vision and guidance of Mrs Sue Starr has enabled the students to come up with a wonderful design that showcases our beautiful community, landscape and heritage.
All students have held a brush to Miss Moo-nildra and have applied the paint with so much enthusiasm.
We cannot wait to unveil her at the Manildra Show on 7th September. Here is a sneak peak of her progress.
